Brittany is not a region but severals, different in many ways.

Landscapes, architecture, gastronomy, culture, language itself differs depending on whether you are in Ille-et-Vilaine, Côtes d’Armor, Finistère or Morbihan.

Ille-et-Vilaine is the department of "Haute Bretagne", in the eastern part of Brittany, with the region of Rennes, as opposed to "Basse Bretagne", the western part.

The north-east quarter of Brittany has many tourist sites:

 The Mont Saint Michel ;
 Saint-Malo, Dinard, La Rance;
 Fougères, Chateaubriand, Combourg;
 Rennes, with its historic center;
 Dinard, seaside resort
