Located in the heart of a green valley crossed by the River Leguer, the Fortress of Tonquedec impresses the visitor with its imposing dimensions and the power that emerges from the fortified ensemble: 11 towers, two imposing dungeons including an "outside the walls" one which has been recently restored.

Built in the 11th century, the Tonquedec castle has undergone several reorganizations and reconstructions, the most important being around 1400.

Private property, the castle is open to the public in season, free or guided visit by reservation. Days of medieval entertainment are an opportunity to see relive the castle and discover the Middle Ages family way of life in the company of passionate people!
